“Great 1 night stay”

5 of 5 stars

We stayed here for 1 night in a queen room. the owners were very welcoming and friendly and keen to assist us with anything we might need, including a map to help us find local eating facilities. The room was fine. Located well back from the road meant no noise. It was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable with immaculate white bedding. Breakfast was included in the price and was available as a help yourself service in the breakfast room. There was a good range of food including cereals, fruits, yogurt, juices, tea and coffee and a range of breads for toasting. They also catered for gluten free patrons. The pool area looked lovely - unfortunately we didn't have time to use it but I'm sure it would be a winner with families. The motel is located a couple of minutes drive from Raymond Terrace Town and also from the Pacific Highway. Very well placed for Newcastle, Maitland and surrounding areas.

I cannot believe we have never stayed here before. We have driven past this motel for years without stopping but not anymore!!
We stayed in the older part of the motel at the back near the breakfast room. The room was in need of a coat of paint but the owners told us the rooms are about to undergo some TLC.......................thus the reduced rate on the room. I found the bed the most comfortable I have ever slept on and the shower was simply luxurious.

We walked down to the local pub which is on the water and it only took us about 10 mins, but we got a taxi back which cost us $8.50.
Michelle and Garry were the perfect host and hostess with nothing being too much for them to do to help.
Breakfast was suburb, especially with the coffee and tea variety. Most buffet breakfast have low quality bulk brands but this was top quality which was most impressive.

We LOVED the entire experience.

This is an older motel which has been 80% renovated. We stayed in a twin room in the older part because that was all that was available...........we were so pleasantly surprised. Everything was superb and so so soooooooooo comfortable. The biggest shock was the standard of the toilet paper. We had been on the road for nearly two weeks and this was the only motel to have decent toilet paper!!! I would stay here just for this reason alone.

What a lovely motel!

The beds are amazingly comfortable! The showers, Oh my goodness! Not water saving heads, proper shower heads with great pressure.

Michelle and Garry were excellent. Nothing is every too hard for them and everything is done with a big smile and a conversation that flows like talking to friends.

The only problem I have with the motel, is that I didn't want to leave!

Cheers to Michelle and Garry on a job well done

Thanks for being so helpful in finding us alternative accommodation when the Sleepy Hill Motor Inn was fully booked. The staff went out of their way to assist us at the end of our long drive, and were friendly and very courteous in doing so. We will definitely book here next time we are in the area and are very happy to recommend the motor inn.

Just a quick note to say thanks for accommodating our race vans and trailers during our stay. It is always a pleasure to stay at your Sleepy Hill Motel and we will be recommending this to others anytime we can.

Thanks once again.

We stayed on our way home from the Snowy. We rang ahead and booked the room which was just as well as it was their last room. We were arriving after their reception closed which turned out to be no problem at all. Garry left the key for us to let ourselves in and what a wonderful surprise to find the light and air conditioner on to greet us with FRESH milk (not long life) in the fridge for a welcome cuppa.

At breakfast it felt like we were truly on holidays with friends. Garry and Michelle were the perfect hosts and we can't rate them highly enough. We thought it was their motel but in chatting found out they just work there. What dedication......I hope the motel owners appreciate the above and beyond they go to, to make guests feel so welcome.

We will now always use the Sleepy Hill as our stop over stop as it is in the perfect position in our trip.

My husband and I were able to check in at 1am. we made arrangements earlier in the evening re the key location for our room over the phone. We had the best night sleep as the beds are super comfortable! We have stayed in 5 star places that don't come close to the comfort in this motel.

Michelle & Garry were the perfect hosts for breakfast with nothing being too hard for them to please their guests. It felt like we were staying with friends. Michelle even printed out a whereis for us to get to our next stop.

We will DEFNITLY be staying at the Sleepy Hill whenever we are this way again. We rate them at 20 out of 10........above and beyond what we expected.

A pleasant find!

We found this motel on the internet. We had emailed many motels and B&Bs to find accommodation, Sleepy Hill responded promptly and courteously.

The motel is very clean and well appointed. We used the pool and spa and cooked our dinner at the BBQ area by the pool on the first night. What a lovely outdoor area to sit in the evening after a long drive or busy day out.

Maya & Andrew were so courteous and helpful and nothing was a problem.

Breakfast was basic cereals, toast, juices and tea/coffee - but enough to 'fill the hole' before taking off for an active day.

We will DEFINITELY be both staying here again AND recommending Sleepy Hill to family and friends.

Absolute Excellence!

A must stay hotel. The food; location; rooms; service; pool & spa are perfect. It’s hard to leave this hotel once you stay for one night! It’s quiet & extremely relaxing & close to amenities.

It’s definitely the best choice for Raymond Terrace & surrounding suburbs 🙂

A pleasant drive from Sydney & only half an hour’s drive to Nelson's Bay.

Great Sleepy Hill Motor Inn

Neat little place-plenty of room with a wall TV, digital clock, desk, a suitcase rack, wardrobe, small dining table & chairs in room, toaster, jug, coffee, bickies, bar fridge, two pillow choices, neat shower/bathroom area-Continental breakfast included so from 7am onwards you head back near reception area into a breakfast room with about nine tables & chair settings in there with a huge screen TV in there also-about 9 cereal choices, juices, coffee/tea/milo, 3 toast choices including a gluten free,& spreads for toast. Great choices available. And off the breakfast area out back is a fantastic swimming pool area. Lovely place to stay. Would stay again. We went to Hope Estate for a concert and decided to drive 50 mins back to Sleepy Hill Motor Inn as sold out accommodation & super expensive when a show is on there at Hope Estate-This fitted our budget perfectly.

10/10 on all counts
